Leave it to Toronto’s annual Scotiabank Nuit Blanche festival to draw in the city’s most eccentric characters. On Saturday night we witnessed droves of show-goers taking to the buzzing and vibrant streets for the all-night contemporary art event in their most extravagant garb.

In true #snbTO fashion there was an emphasis on layers. Flannel as far as the eye could see, and cozy blanket scarves provided much-needed warmth. We also spotted plenty of bomber jackets—some traditional (leather sleeves) and some kooky (emblazoned in Paul Frank motifs). There were tailored overcoats in camel and houndstooth, while the fur department called for fluffy toppers and large stoles. We also learned that nothing completes an outfit like a good hat. The headwear game was strong, whether it was a charming bowler, a rugged toque or, you know, a pylon.
