Hot Tip: The Drinks Show

This year’s edition of The Martini Club’s annual cocktail blowout takes style points from air travel in the era before sardine-like economy (think: Pan Am, mod uniforms, futuristic lounges). You can sample gourmet nibbles and dance to DJ Adryin, but the real draw is over 100 internationale tipples ($2 for a sample, $7 for a whole glass) with names like Mile High Club, First Class…you get the idea. Pick up a few recipes and swing by the on-site LCBO, where you can buy not-yet-in-stores bottles and check out the ImaGINe display, perfect for those who consider the juniper-flavoured spirit to be the ticket to a real martini.
