Alice in Wonderland Tim Burton meets Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland—sounds like love! With Helena Bonham Carter as The Red Queen, and, of course, Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter.

Nowhere Boy A portrait of a Beatle as a young man: John Lennon’s troubled adolescence is the subject of this feature by art star turned filmmaker Sam Taylor-Wood, who cast unknown actors alongside the great Kristin Scott Thomas as Lennon’s Aunt Mimi.

Cooking with Stella Posted to New Delhi, a Canadian diplomat (Lisa Ray) and her chef husband (Don McKellar) are outwitted by the Indian woman who runs their household. Dilip Mehta co-wrote this savvy social satire with his Oscar-nominated sister Deepa.
