The Tokyo-based artist created prints for a fellow Canuck’s fall collection.

What makes a designer like Toronto’s Zoran Dobric, known for hand-painting each of his mineral-hued prints, want to work with another artist for the first time?

“Well,” says Dobric, quite seriously, “Saša obviously has really good triangle skills.”

Saša is short for Aleksandar Skoric, a 35-year-old Calgarian who moved to Tokyo in 2004 to make and teach art. A friend of Dobric’s for 10-odd years, he’s done logos, web and packaging graphics for the designer since 2005.
