Electroglam pioneers Goldfrapp—whose glittery 2005 disc Supernature sold over a million copies—turn a page with their latest effort. Inspired by hazy summer afternoons, Seventh Tree (Mute/EMI) fuses English eccentricity with California dreaminess, a softer sound that Will Gregory, who co-wrote the album with band front woman Alison Goldfrapp, defines as “heartache dressed in ten louche outfits.”
