Virtual shoe-land gains edge

Live life, love shoes!  If this motto is fitting to your lifestyle, then Shoetube.tv, the first ever online video channel devoted ‘solely to shoes,’ is a must add to your favourites browser tab, (right below fashionmagazine.com of course)!

Launched on Valentines Day 2008, flowers and chocolate were the last concerns on the minds of the eight accomplished women who host Shoetube videos (including one originally from T.O.), but rather their fixation on fashionable shoes and their need to binge on literally everything, shoe-related.

The proclaimed ‘shoe-rus’ (shoe-gurus) voice their edgy, honest opinions in Boston, Miami, Denver, Los Angles and San Francisco, with regular videos in the following categories: Sole Deep, Shop til you Drop, Walk on By, Behind the Boot, Real or Deal and The Daily Shoe.  Behind the Boot videos proved to be exceptionally interesting with behind the scenes shoemaking, sneak peeks into designer collections and history of fabulous shoe designers, including René Caovilla.

Toronto native, Kai Soremekun, took a peek into the workplace of artist Bruce Gray who has channeled his shoe fetish energy into creating shoe sculptures, most notably a giant (nearly 6 foot) shiny, single, red stiletto ($25,000).  Being a shoe and art enthusiast, naturally, I fell head over heels.

If the shoe fits: learn the latest shoe gossip, submit your own blogs and videos, and look out for the new edition: boutiques section expected in August, at shoetube.tv.
