Ali Stephens
Shortly after her sweet 16, Ali Stephens made her runway debut as an exclusive at Prada’s Spring ’08 show in Milan. In her first season alone, she’s walked for big names including Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Balenciaga. Her soon-to-be-familiar face will be gracing the Spring ’08 campaigns of Chloé, M Missoni, CK Calvin Klein and European Gap ads. Watch for her in the pages of Another Magazine, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, Numéro and the Japanese, Italian and French editions of Vogue.

BALENCIAGA Sping 2008

Alice Gibb
The fair-skinned and red-headed Brit Alice Gibb began her career being photographed by Mario Testino for the pages of British Vogue and hitting the runway for Christopher Kane’s Spring ’07 show during London Fashion Week. Appearing in the Burberry Spring ’08 campaign, she is not only representing labels from her homeland, but has walked on some of the trendiest runways in Spring ’08 including Marc Jacobs, Rodarte and Proenza Schouler.

GILES Spring 2008

Anja Rubik
Polish model Anja Rubik has ruled the runway for the Spring ’08 season, walking for classics like Oscar de la Renta, Yves Saint Laurent and Valentino, and also taking on newer labels Thakoon, Preen and Rag & Bone. Since cutting her long locks, the short ’do gives Agyness Deyn a run for her money. Look for her inside magazines in the latest ad campaigns from Chloé Parfum, Dsquared, Oscar de la Renta and Valentino.

CHANEL Spring 2008

Daul Kim
The 18-year-old Korean model broke out this past year by landing the August 2007 cover of Korean Vogue with Canadian model Coco Rocha. Since then she has appeared in the very commercial Fall ’07 print ads for Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom and the Spring ’08 H&M campaign. Spring ’08 is a big season for Kim, appearing in an editorial for Another Magazine and on the cover of French Revue de Modes, after walking the runways for Alexander McQueen, Salvatore Ferragamo and Helmut Lang. Coco isn’t Kim’s only Canadian tie as she also strutted her stuff for Canadian designer Jeremy Laing’s Spring ’08 show.

SALVATORE FERRAGAMO Spring 2008

Elsa Sylvan
A stand out beauty in a country known to be full of pretty people, Swedish model Elsa Sylvan had no problem catching the eye of the fashion community. Landing covers for Swedish Elle and the 20th anniversary issue of Italian Elle, the 21-year-old is gaining momentum on the runways. Appearing in the Spring ’08 couture shows for Chanel, Christian Lacroix, Givenchy and Valentino, the Resort ’08 shows for Badgley Mischka, Dior and Oscar de la Renta and Lanvin’s Pre-Fall ’08 collection, there will be more of this big-blue-eyed stunner to come.

LANVIN Spring 2008

Hye Park
One stand out face that tackled more than 30 Spring ’08 shows, from Burberry Prorsum to Behnaz Sarafpour, it is no wonder that Korean model Hye Park has become a fashion favourite. Past campaigns include Roberto Cavalli, D&G, the Gap, H&M and most recently Saks Fifth Avenue, and her editorials include the pages of French and Italian Vogue. Styled by French Vogue Editor-In-Chief, Carine Roitfeld for the Spring ’08 Cesare Paciotti ads, proclaimed as Vogue Editor-At-Large André Leon Talley’s favourite model and named by Paper Magazine as one of its most beautiful people, it can be noted that there will be more to be seen of Hye Park.

CHLOÉ Spring 2008

Jourdan Dunn
British model Jourdan Dunn’s star is quickly rising after signing the Fall ’07 United Colors of Benetton campaign and an Allure editorial. The 17-year-old has stomped out looks for Adidas by Stella McCartney, Hermès, Missoni, Moschino, Diane von Furstenberg, Marc Jacobs and VPL, to name a few. With such big- name runways in her first year, it will be no surprise to see her all over the catwalk and pages of magazines the next few seasons.

ALEXANDER MCQUEEN Spring 2008

Karlie Kloss
Born in 1993, Karlie Kloss is one of the freshest faces out right now. The former ballet dancer has hung up her slippers to try balancing in sky-high heels on international runways. A Teen Vogue favourite, Kloss was featured in its pages four consecutive times in 2007, so it was no surprise when she graced their February ’08 cover. She appeared in the Spring ’08 shows for Chloé, Viktor & Rolf, Sonia Rykiel, Gucci and Calvin Klein, as well as being the face of See by Chloé and  Nina Ricci Spring ’08 campaigns. Look out for her in future issues of T: The New York Times Style Magazine and Italian Vogue.

VALENTINO Spring 2008

Natasha Poly
Russian model Natasha Polevshchikova, who is better known as Natasha Poly, might have been one of the busiest girls during the Spring ’08 shows. Ms. Poly is not one to shy away from a high work load; her past campaigns include Louis Vuitton jewellery, Gucci, Alberta Ferretti and Ralph Lauren as well as the covers of French, Australian and Russian Vogue. With more than 50 shows under her belt in the Spring ’08 season, including Jean Paul Gaultier, Karl Lagerfeld, Balmain, Pucci, Versace and Temperley, she’s also been busy posing for the French Vogue calendar and for editorials in French Vogue and W.

MIU MIU Spring 2008

Shannan Click
Californian model Shannan Click’s steady uphill ride to become a break-out face in fashion began campaign and cover heavy. Her campaigns have included Guess?, Longchamp, BCBG Max Azria, Alexander Wang, Emporio Armani and Prada, and she’s been on covers for Japanese Vogue and French Revue de Modes. Click’s editorials can be seen in more youthful publications such as Dazed & Confused and Nylon. More recently, the page turner was frequently spotted on the runways of the Spring ’08 shows; for Moschino, Celine, Elie Saab, Lanvin and Balenciaga.

BALENCIAGA Spring 2008

Suvi Koponen
Finnish model Suvi Koponen got her start in 2005 by winning the reality television show, Model School, which is similar to America’s Next Top Model. Not long after her victory, campaigns started to come through – she replaced Natalia Vodianova as the face of Calvin Klein. Past campaigns also include Mulberry and Balenciaga, and she is currently the face of Blumarine. Gracing the covers of Paris Vogue Beauté and Dazed & Confused in 2007, look out for her in ’08 on the pages of V, W and British Vogue.

NINA RICCI Spring 2008

Taryn Davidson
Canadian Taryn Davidson has already become a favourite here at FASHION, posing in our February issue, but is also causing a sensation worldwide, from the runways to the pages of other top fashion magazines such as W and German Vogue. She made her runway debut at the Spring ’08 shows as an exclusive for Calvin Klein in New York and Jil Sander in Milan. In Paris she walked for top shows, including Hermès, Nina Ricci and Lanvin. Her first campaign (with many likely to follow) is for United Colors of Benetton Spring ’08.
