Who knew that lizards and butterflies could co-exist so beautifully? This Nicholas Kirkwood “masterpiece” (my apologies—I can’t stop gushing), found exclusively at Plum Shoe Boutique in downtown Toronto (29 Bellair St., Toronto, 416-964-1410) gives new meaning to the phrase “fashion takes flight.” The purple lizard skin with silver accents will have your outfit go from “nice” to “oh my God, your shoes!” Now let’s face it: these aren’t the “greenest” of shoes, nor the eco-friendliest, and you will not be invited to any PETA parties (if you are, don’t wear these), but wherever else these Kirkwoods take you, your feet will appreciate the compliments.
