For Fashion’s Sake
To hunt for a dress that will pop at a fast-approaching summer wedding, I threw on a pair of my most comfortable wedges and mentally prepared for an afternoon of rummaging through racks of clothing from days far gone. Thrift stores are my playground. Two vintage shops later I had concocted an outfit that was enough to awe. The recipe: one high-waisted creamy brown skirt with buttons running down the front of its knee tickling length, one polka-dot, lace-trimmed, intricately designed slip for the top and one large buckled black belt. Total cost: $150. “The Awe Effect”: priceless.
