About Lana and Meghan
We are two 20-year-old girls, born and raised in the wonderful city of Winnipeg. We both go to school here in the city (Lana at University of Manitoba and Meghan at University of Winnipeg) and spend our summers at Victoria Beach. For fun, we decided to document our style online—a project that arose as the result of years of poring over the blogs of everyone from famous Swedes to our closest friends.

Who is your style icon and why?
Our grandmothers! Timeless and elegant, Lana's baba, Roma, proves you can have fun with fashion at any age.

What's your favourite item in your closet?
Lana: A vintage white lace dress found at the one and only Ruby Slipper in Winnipeg
Meghan: The woven leather boots my mom bought me years ago at Para Mix here in the city. They're falling apart a bit, but I can't bear to part with them just yet.

What was your favourite childhood outfit?
Lana: Prairie skirts and cowboy boots (I had an extensive collection).
Meghan: Denim overalls.

What's your worst outfit ever?
We have no regrets!

Name a current celeb whose style you admire and tell us why.
Clémence Poésy. Her style is simple, but put together. She is delicate but intriguing, and never fussy.

What's a trend you hate?
Lana: New Rave. It's way too over-the-top.
Meghan: When people rely on trends! I think incorporating trends is fun, but following the current trend is boring. Experiment!

Why do you love the shopping/fashion scene in your town?
Since we don't have a lot of massive department or chain stores, people in Winnipeg have completely unique personal styles. Local designers and stores are coming up with some really interesting ideas all the time, which keeps our fashion scene pretty exciting.
