About Isabel
I am an 18-year-old who lives on green tea, fast music and vintage clothing. I will be starting university this fall and could not be more excited!

Who is your style icon and why?
This is typical, but I do have a soft spot for Mary-Kate Olsen. It seems like she just throws on whatever she wants to wear, whether it is appropriate or not. That scores high points in my books.

What’s your favourite item in your closet?
My favourite piece of clothing is a bright-yellow Burberry coat I found in my grandmother’s closet. I stumble upon the most wonderful things in there, and she just lets me have them!

What was your favourite childhood outfit?
I will never forget the turquoise sweatshirt that had a ruffle at the bottom, with matching turquoise sweatpants. My mom is a seamstress, and I was the best (or most weirdly) dressed child around.

What’s your worst outfit ever?
In Grade 9, I went through a faux-punk phase and actually owned fingerless fishnet gloves that I wore with ripped jeans and band T-shirts from the mall. Fingerless gloves might be a good look for Karl Lagerfeld, but certainly not for me.

Name a current celeb whose style you admire and tell us why.
I cannot say that I admire the style of any celebrity right now. Most of them have stylists, so I would probably be praising the wrong person if I chose to salute any star’s style.

What’s a trend you hate?
GAUCHO PANTS!!!

Why do you love the shopping/fashion scene in your town?
The best thing about shopping in Belleville is the thrift shopping. Everybody underestimates it! Therefore, I don’t have a lot of competition when I go out searching for the perfect 1960s dress or ruffled shirt, and I can still find it for dirt cheap.
