We all know when it comes to sports, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are big fans, so it’s always nice to see the royal duo come out and support British athletes and sporting events hosted by the United Kingdom. Plus, it gives us an excuse to talk about all things Kate Middleton. This past Saturday, Kate joined Prince William and Prince Harry to kick off the launch of the Tour de France at Harewood House in Leeds. Quite the treat for the competing 22 teams, the royal trio greeted and waved off the anxious riders as they embarked on their 2, 272 mile four-country race that starts off in Leeds and finishes off in Paris. For the day’s event, the Duchess chose a bright green wool coat by Erdem from the Pre-Fall 2014 collection, which we last saw on her during the royal tour Down Under when the Cambridges visited Cambridge. The knee-length tailored coat was worn over a similar hue printed silk dress by Suzannah. Although it was hidden this time, knowing Kate, she’ll recycle this dress in no time. Allowing her coat to be the statement piece, she teamed it with a neutral-coloured clutch by L.K. Bennett and matching patent pumps by the same designer and added a pair of emerald earrings that coordinated accordingly to her outfit, as usual.

Back in the royal box at Wimbledon for a second time this week, the royal couple cheered on the final match between Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer. While A-list stars were also there to watch the exciting game (Kate Beckinsale, Hugh Jackman, Orlando Bloom, Bradley Cooper and the Beckhams, to name a few), our eyes were naturally on our favourite  royal, who donned another green dress. Bringing back an old favourite (we first saw this dress during the royal tour to Malaysia back in 2012), the Duchess wore a green and aqua-print dress by Jonathan Saunders from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection that featured exaggerated sleeves and a belt cinched at the waist. While her accessories were the eye-catching focus at last Wednesday’s game, Kate toned it down this weekend so her dress got all the attention it deserved. She once again carried the same L.K. Bennett clutch from Saturday’s event and topped it all off with a cream scarf, green amethyst earrings by Kiki McDonough and a pair of chic sunglasses by Givenchy.
