After last week’s news that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were wed over the previous weekend at Château Miraval in France, any kind of “I don’t care about celebrities” nonchalance went right out the window in favour of scraping the web for any and all available information and making (un)educated guesses about the bride’s dress. There was zippo until last night, at which point People and Hello! both released the covers of their upcoming exclusive stories featuring, as assumed, Angelina Jolie wearing Atelier Versace. Equal parts wood nymph and silky Grecian dream, the gown is the personification of Jolie’s current persona: mother/humanist/otherworldly heroine. Motherhood was echoed in the look’s piece de resistance, a custom embroidered veil featuring colourful doodles by the couple’s six children made by the Atelier’s master tailor, Luigi Massi.. “Luigi is like family to me and I couldn’t imagine anyone else making this dress. He knows and cares for the children and it was great fun putting it together,” Jolie told People.
