Kate Middleton recycles an old favourite for today’s Turner Contemporary visit

In the last couple of months, we may have seen a series of new wardrobe pieces, but it looks like as we near the due date of Royal Baby #2, Kate Middleton has been taking her tried-and-true maternity wear out for another spin. Yesterday we got another chance to see the glowing (almost) mother-of-two in her blushing pink Alexander McQueen ensemble. Today, for two art-focused engagements down in Margate, Kent, the Duchess recycled a much-adored Hobbs dalmation print dress just for the occasion. As an Art History graduate, Kate was all smiles arriving at her first stop: Turner Contemporary, one of the country’s leading art galleries. Here she viewed the Self: Image and Identity exhibition, which centres on the evolution of the importance of history’s self-portraitures to today’s #selfie. She also met with some of the artists, as well as worked with the local school children on an art project. Her second stop was at the Resort Studios (a contemporary arts organization that supports artists, designers and creative business), which included a studio tour and a meet-and-greet with the in-residence artists.
But let’s get back to her outfit, shall we? The Duchess last wore her Hobbs animal print dress back in June 2013 for the christening of the Royal Princess. Since today’s outings seemed a bit less formal, Kate ditched the hat for a sleek, knotted ponytail look, allowing her pretty Annoushka pearl earrings to be seen. Making sure the dress was the centre of attention, Kate kept her accessories minimal by teaming her ensemble with basic black Stuart Weitzman Power pumps and a Mulberry Bayswater clutch. Don’t forget to tune in tomorrow when Kate visits the set Downtown Abbey.
