Wet or Dry?

The art of the martini is all in the details. Here are some tips and recipes for creating the perfect cocktail:

Spirited Vessels

A great cocktail should be served in a great glass. Splurge on stemware from specialty stores like Toronto’s BYOB. The selection ranges from retro to Japanese etched crystal.

Keep it Chill

Store your martini cocktail glasses in the freezer. But always keep your Grey Goose Vodka in the refrigerator – not the freezer. When you freeze a high-quality spirit you lose much of its aroma and flavour profile.

Wet or Dry?

The more vermouth you add the wetter your martini cocktail. As for the garnish, dry goes well with citrus, such as lemon; wet goes well with savoury, such as olives.

Always Use the Freshest Ice

Stale, cloudy ice may impart a disagreeable flavour. Boil water before freezing for the clearest ice.

Don’t Be Afraid to Go Bespoke

Experiment with flavours and customize your martini cocktail to your mood or taste—and the tastes of your guests.
