TIFF 2014: Octavia Spencer & Kevin Costner are crazy charming at Black and White party

“Oh my god, it’s Kevin Costner! My mom is in love with him!” If I had a nickel for every time I heard (and uh, said) that at the Black and White after party, I would have, like, almost a whole dollar.
The film, which stars Kevin Costner and Octavia Spencer, revolves around an attorney (Costner) who becomes entangled in a custody battle for his granddaughter, with her paternal grandmother (Spencer), after the deaths of his wife and daughter.
At the Nespresso Black and White after party, Costner and Spencer were nothing but best buds, which made my heart grow at least three sizes. There’s nothing better than seeing two massively talented stars be totally charming and generally wonderful.
Octavia Spencer looked amazing in a bright emerald Tadashi Shoji dress, which she accessorized with an EF Collection cocktail ring and an A+ personality (sorry, I’ll stop). The film also stars Anthony Mackie, Bill Burr, actor Mpho Koaho, and Jillian Estell, who were all in attendance, including 10-year-old Estell who was sporting crutches and a cast on one leg.
Guests sipped on specialty cocktails made with coffee, as Costner made his way around the room, politely pretending not to notice everyone gazing lovingly at him.
