Fall may be creeping closer and closer, but at last night’s Teen Choice Awards, summer was still in style. And for Bella Thorne and Lily Collins, summer style was quite literal with their matching palm tree-print ensembles—a bright look that made us think of nothing but sunsets on the golden coast.

Disney starlet Bella Thorne is never shy when it comes to print-heavy outfits on the red carpet. For the 2013 Teen Choice Awards, Thorne was dressed in a two-piece outfit by Fausto Puglisi from the Resort 2014 collection. Featuring a pink printed top with long black sleeves, she paired it with a blue palm tree-print structured skater skirt. Keeping it simple but classic, Thorne accessorized with a pair of black pumps by Candies and a black clutch and gold jewels by Diane von Furstenberg. While she worked a dramatic smoky eye, she softened her look with a natural light-pink lip colour. Effortless yet effective, Thorne also rocked one of our favourite red carpet hairstyles: loose, curly waves.

While matching outfits on the red carpet may seem like a style disaster in the making, this was not the case at the 2013 Teen Choice Awards. Lily Collins kept her cool upon discovering that she was wearing the same Fausto Puglisi palm tree-print as Bella Thorne, even posing for a photo with the Disney star. The former FASHION cover girl paired her ultra glam white Fausto Puglisi skirt—which featured a coral interior—with a black short-sleeved silk top by Houghton, also from the Resort 2014 collection. Collins opted for a pair of timeless black ankle strap pumps by Brian Atwood, which helped to keep the hi-lo skirt as quite the statement piece. Collins complemented her cat-eye makeup with neutral pink lips and added to the ’60s look with a beehive-esque bouffant that was held in place with a black Alice headband.
