The week in celebrity style: See who made our best-dressed list
Cannes may be over, but Hollywood’s red carpet game is still proving strong, thanks to this week’s burst of premieres and social events. Emma Stone upped the ante on her Aloha military garb in a sparkly fringe Emilio Pucci mini at the L.A. screening, while co-star Rachel McAdams head-turned in a skin-baring netted top. Meanwhile in Tokyo, Amal Clooney had everyone in awe, wearing a gold Maison Margiela dress (designed especially for her by John Galliano) as she accompanied a dashing George Clooney during his Tomorrowland press tour last week.
But glam asides, the annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic kicked off a season of pastel daywear. Every year we see a handful of stars, models and bloggers pull out their best summer looks for the polo match in New Jersey and with this year’s guest list, the wardrobe game did not disappoint. Fashion darlings like Joan Smalls and Emma Roberts looked flirty in summer dresses, but we couldn’t keep our eyes off Diane Kruger. The actress turned up the heat in a skin baring Roland Mouret jumpsuit, she topped off with simple straw hat, to keep it polo-apropos. Ladies take note, because this is effortless dressing down right.
