Met Gala 2016: The 7 best-dressed couples on last night’s red carpet

If there is one party in the year that verifies how serious you are in a relationship, it’s the Met Gala. As the unofficial event to show off your significant other, we’re always on the edge of our seat to see who’s going to bring who (or not bring, in the case of Beyoncé). Sure, Instagram has long been giving us #RelationshipGoals, but honestly, the status isn’t official until you bring your beau to the most important fête of the year under the eyes of Anna Wintour. Cases in point: Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik who made their first public appearance as a couple.

While we’re sad not to see the couple of the moment, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, walk the red carpet (proposal and all) this year, there were plenty of other cute duos to give us serious couple envy. We caught Keith Urban kiss Nicole Kidman‘s hand. Then there was Zoe Saldana and Marco Perego who had a little PDA moment before making their way up the grand staircase. But no one did the couple look better than the #worldsmosttalkedaboutcouple, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. With their otherworldly Balmain looks (props to West for going the extra mile with the contacts), they truly lived up to their title last night.
