Designer Wear
Long a staple for the bridesmaid and bat mitzvah set, BCBG’s offerings have become covetable among those who simply want well-made, trend-driven pieces for everyday. This fall, that translates into colour-blocked, geometric silks, T-shirt dresses cinched with wide elastic belts and, naturally, the occasional sequin.

BCBG has long been the go-to spot for bridesmaids, high-school grads and New Year’s Eve party-goers alike, but for fall, creative director Lubov Azria (yes, they keep it all in the family) showed primmer, more grown-up looks. Worn with a chignon, slim shift dresses in muted camels and browns are ’50s secretary-sexy, while bubble shapes and wide-leg pants make the collection a little more modern. Remember to cinch in your waist with a tied leather-and-wool belt — just like every outfit in the BCBG runway show.

Swimwear
Known for offering the best in grad and summer wedding dresses, BCBG is fast becoming a go-to for swimsuits that sit high on the style scale. While its swim collection is relatively small, most of it is sold as separates that will work alone (think under-layers for that super-cute romper) or with other swimwear already in your repertoire. Our favourites include the white bikini with bright-coral clasp, the ruffled bikini top in the perfect shade of red, the printed maxi-dresses and the patterned cover-ups.
