Designer Wear
It may seem as though Karl Lagerfeld took inspiration from the yeti for his fall collection for Chanel, but there were some gems among all the fur: The short angora sweater dresses are so comfy-looking, yet still so Coco. Tweed, the house’s staple, has »
been treated to a fresh spin; it’s deconstructed and shredded as a box jacket and slouchy and swingy as a pantsuit.
Known for its two-tone loveliness, the house of Chanel did not disappoint this fall, with Kaiser Karl creating several pairs of mixed-material black-and-white shoes, including one with a sci-fi-esque green ring embedded in the heel. The classic 2.55 quilted bag was also given the futuristic treatment, set in a hard plastic case that also includes slots for your sunnies, iPod, compact and No. 5 perfume (because yes, you do need a full bottle with you at all times).
