To best describe Furla, think of actress Kate Winslet: She’s young enough to be plugged in, but not so young that she needs to be overly trendy; she garners just enough attention to make an impact, without being tabloid fodder; and she is confident enough about her sophisticated, streamlined fashion sense to err on the side of caution, without being boring or minimalist. Indeed, on entering the boutique (the Italian company’s only Canadian outpost), green glass–encased islands and backlit walls make a striking impression. For fall, expect neutral, rich jewel-toned and black and white bags and shoes in crocodile-stamped leather. ...
