What’s most endearing about this north Toronto retailer is that owners Randi Szymkowicz and Rhonda Finkelstein have been friends since childhood. In fact, their mothers run a swimsuit boutique within the store—you could say this is a sisterhood of the non-travelling panties. The store caters to women of all sizes (or at least 28 to 56, AA to L). Ages, too—young girls who came for their first fittings when the store opened in 1982 are now buying maternity bras. And that’s why labels such as Chantelle, Freya, Prima Donna and Marie Jo offer enough variety for generational bonding.
