Designer Wear
Born in ’68, Maxi’s still has a certain swing. Owner Elizabeth Bartzis treads lightly on the wild side: She stocks “edgy, eclectic pieces” by Robert Rodriguez and Copenhagen’s Gróa alongside Versace dresses and Jovani gowns, and recently refurnished the place with mad zebra-print chairs. There’s a healthy selection of Lida Baday and By Malene Birger on hand, while pieces by Autumn Cashmere are perennially popular.
