Just what the fairy godmother ordered.

Is that ball gown starting to chafe, Princess? Come back down to earth for a while, and work on your wardrobe at Rooney (395 Notre-Dame St. W., 514-543-6234, rooneyshop.com). Easy, breezy cool is what you’ll find in this Old Montreal boutique. Killer jeans from Nudie, True Religion and Rock & Republic are perfect when paired with sweet, colourful tops from Adam+Eve and Ella Moss. “We wanted a space that was filled with fun, cute, girlie lines,” explains owner Alex Danino. One last piece of retro advice: Trade in your tiara for a pair of Converses—all the better for chasing Prince Charming around town.
