Montreal Beauty Reporter: Apple Cider Treatments
A new way to get your apple a day.
When Montrealers aren’t eating food, it seems that we’re slathering it all over our bodies. First there was chocotherapy, then came vinotherapy, and now I’m loving the skin I’m in after sampling two of the exclusive new apple ice cider treatments at Amerispa (amerispa.ca). The regenerating Apple Cider Elixir Exfoliation ($120) features sea salts found 3,000 feet below Saskatchewan soil, mixed with Quebec apple ice cider from Domaine Lafrance. After receiving the cleansing salt rubdown, I was covered from neck to toe with the Anti-aging Ice Cider Elixir Mask ($105), wrapped in foil and left to bake fritter-style beneath heat lamps. The mask immediately got to work, delivering a healthy dose of vitamins and minerals to my parched skin. Once unwrapped, I received a light massage using the delicately scented Silky Smooth Ice Cider Cream ($55) from the spa’s take-home Vintage Cider Elixir skin care line. Rich in polyphenols (thanks to those divine apples), the moisturizer keeps skin looking young and protects it from harsh elements, which can cause skin damage. That night at dinner, I had several comments about the yummy perfume I was wearing.
