New luxe label: Jemma Wynne

New and exclusive in Western Canada to Holt Renfrew Calgary (510 Eighth Ave. SW, Calgary, 403-269-7341, holtrenfrew.com) is New York–based jewellery line Jemma Wynne (from $920), from designers Stephanie Wynne and Jenny Klatt. “We like a sophisticated palette, one that’s rich and at the same time easy to wear,” says Wynne. The result? Fresh, modern pieces that combine tourmalines and rose-cut diamonds. And no matter what they create, there’s always a little understated luxury. “A rose-cut diamond is one of our signature elements,” says Klatt. “It is a small detail tucked on the side of our rings and necklaces; it is rich and appreciated by our customers, who know it is there, but it is not obvious. It’s like the red sole of a Louboutin shoe—it’s hidden to most, but it’s that extra little something that makes the piece unique.”
