I’m all for sister power, but lately I’m finding that where the boys are, something stylish (and exclusive) awaits. These three eclectic boutiques for women—run by men—are making waves in MTL.

David Lesage (Les Cours Mont-Royal, 1455 Peel St., Suite 318, 514-564-4400, davidlesage.com). The boy: David Lesage was a stylist before he opened this sleek downtown space. Now he styles shoppers, who come for his finely edited selection of choice brands. The goods: Hard-to-find lines like Robert Rodriguez Black Label, Under.Ligne and Tara Jarmon (shown, $625); Lesage’s own line of knits in Egyptian cotton, fine merino wool and cashmere.
