Jewellery artiste Halina Carter trained as an ébeniste (that’s French for woodworker), and all of her treasures—bracelets, rings and necklaces—are literally one-of-a-kind objets d’art. After spending eight years making her trademark angular pieces in exotic dark woods (ebony, bocote and black wood), she is on a fresh path with her Iko collection (shown, from $500, ikodesign.ca), with its organic, fluid shapes in lighter tones like white oak and spalted maple.

Hi Halina,
Your jewelry is beautiful...so fine, so smooth, so rich. I wish you the best of business.
