Denim dynamo Georges Marciano, formerly of Guess, has resurfaced in Montreal with a new project, LHotel (262 St-Jacques St. W., 514-985-0019, lhotelmontreal.com), on the site of the former Hôtel XIXe Siècle. The glorious French Second Empire building will feature more than 200 pieces from Marciano’s private collection of pop art, including a bevy of Warhols, Lichtensteins and more. (Note: The iconic Robert Indiana Love sculpture at the entrance is genuine.) It’s where fashion meets fine art meets boutique hotel—and you may just meet Marciano himself.
