Beauty Reporter: Kitchen stuff plus

Froosh will appeal to anyone who appreciates the homespun appeal of beauty products that can be whipped up in a ceramic mixing bowl. Owners and “soap chefs” Monika Gilbert and Kevin Yu prepare their concoctions in small batches right on their store premises (2230 Queen St. E., 416-686-3967, ifeelfroosh.com), so you can be sure that everything is fresh, from their best-selling Vanilla Body Butter (from $8) to the Peppermint Dead Sea Salt Foot Scrub (left, $8). And if you’re feeling so inspired, you can even sign up for their workshops, which school aspiring beauty bakers on how to make bath bombs, sugar scrubs and natural cold-processed soaps.
