Pop!

Point Zero has opened a pop-up boutique downtown (1285 de Maisonneuve Blvd. W., 514-904-0320, pointzero.ca) that is about to morph into a flagship store. Here’s why I’m celebrating: It’s local. Founded in Montreal’s garment district in 1979, the streetwear brand is now sold all over the world. It’s huge. Three thousand square feet of fashion is enough to make me drool; the 14-foot-tall Plexiglas change rooms inspire lascivious thoughts. It’s for everyone. While I’m toying with the idea of buying a complete outfit—cami, blazer and pants—I’m hoping my boyfriend will refresh his stale wardrobe and maybe pick up a floral-print dress for his teenaged daughter as well. It’s central. The store is conveniently situated just across from my chic new hangout, Le Pois Penché (1230 de Maisonneuve Blvd. W., 514-667-5050, lepoispenche.com), where I’ll grab a coupe of bubbly to unwind after my spree.
