Take flight

While many young hipsters have been sporting feathers in their hair—those plume headbands are everywhere!—I’m opting instead for the soft, swinging feather earrings (shown, $30 per pair) by Myrtle and Pearls. Created by Edmonton-based accessories designer Genevieve Savard, they were inspired by a tattered hat she spotted in an antique shop last year. We give her props for being so ahead of the feathery trend. At Shisomiso (100 Seventh Ave. SW, Suite 105, Calgary, 403-266-4211, shisomiso.com).
