Shoppers at SunnySide revel in the boutique’s Plateau charm. Resident designer Josée-Anne Trudel is inspired by the Brazilian bikini cut, which is remarkably flattering. “Don’t be frightened. It’s not a Brazilian thong,” clarifies Trudel. “People get confused. My cut is adapted to the North American woman so it has more coverage. It makes the bum look rounder.” True, indeed. Trudel’s house brand, called Nana, is made in Brazil to the designer’s specifications.
