News to note: Tonic is now carrying France’s prestigious Guinot line of skin care products, and the salon-spa’s decor is getting refreshed with Italian furniture (think: silver leather and red sinks). It’s still carrying the best of Aveda, broadening its services with more products and offering a full line of body treatments on the top floor. There’s a new relaxing massage from California, called the Esalen massage ($65), performed by Erica Clain.
