For cool alterna-types who’d rather die than be caught shopping in Yorkville, there’s a haven waiting here. Founded by Anat Lowe and Maha Zeibak to fill the gap between expensive and unconventional, UPC is a black-and-white (but mostly white) corridor draped with asymmetrical separates. This party season, Sonia by Sonia Rykiel sweaters—adorned with detachable necklaces—and Disaya accessories are selling big. Italian label Iosselliani, made from twisted silver and 18k gold with Swarovski crystals and pearls, starts at $250—basically, Tom Binns for less.
