The Duchess of Cambridge wears a loose-fitting floral Erdem dress while launching a new counseling program in Manchester
I never thought I’d see the day. Kate’s gone boho! Kinda. After holding fast to traditionally form fitting and tailored pieces up until the 6-months pregnant mark (and by that, we mean yesterday’s appearance), the Duchess of Cambridge seems to finally be embracing a slightly looser style with today’s appearance in Manchester.
Kate paid a visit to The Willows Primary School to launch a counseling program in conjunction with one of her new patronages, Place2Be. The charity, which counsels and support children with emotional issues, will partner with Action on Addiction, another of Kate’s patronages, as well as Comic Relief and the Royal Foundation to offer counseling for parents and children who suffer from or are affected by addictions.
While the visit gave Kate an opportunity to see the program in action and interact with students, her visit was blemished by an arsonist’s fire that burned down the school’s playground earlier this month. Sad face. (You can donate to the clean-up/rebuild here!)
The Duchess of Cambridge wore Erdem’s black and floral Sophia Visconti Bloom dress (what do you know, it’s still available on matches.com). Though the dress is described as a fitted style, we’d venture to guess that Kate went for a size up. As photo’d here, the bust and waist shaping seem much looser than we’re used to seeing on her body. Bring on the boho! Might a royal muumuu be in order?
