For its second summer, Keloha, Kelowna’s music and arts festival, brought bands and their fans to Waterfront Park on Okanagan Lake for three sizzling days (truly, temps hovered around 30°C) July 5 to 7, 2013. MGMT, Matt & Kim, Mutemath and Capital Cities were among the big name, across-border acts brought in, alongside a strong true north contingent including The Trews, Arkells, Shad and Yukon Blonde.

With one stage just feet from the beach, the music festival style took a less is more approach with most attendees sporting not much more than bikinis and board shorts. Yet even with that little to work with, there was a mélange of fashion genres represented, from boho-chic to rockabilly. There was even a Miley Cyrus (current pretty-punk incarnation) doppelganger. While cut-offs were ubiquitous, long, flowing skirts are making a charge for most valuable bottoms. The through line: cool style consistently comes in pairs. Commence Keloha 2013 slideshow!
