Emma Stone’s been killing it during the worldwide promo tour for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and while you’d think that the back-to-back-to-back premieres wouldn’t allow for a trip to the salon, that’s clearly not the case. At Sunday’s red carpet in New York City, Stone debuted bold new bangs. The actress is known for changing up her tresses on a regular basis—cut, colour, style, you name it, Stone has definitely tried it—but we were so sure she was happily growing her fringe out. Case in point: Stone has been braiding and pinning her bangs back over the course of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 press tour, which are such classic signs of a girl stuck in fringe limbo, right? Why Jennifer Lawrence’s new bob is going to be the hairstyle of the summer

The defining moment of 2013′s short hair trend is here: Jennifer Lawrence chopped off her hair this weekend and has a new, shoulder-grazing bob. News of the stunning look broke when celebrity stylist Mark Townsend (who, of course, did the cut) Instagrammed pictures right before Lawrence hit the red carpet at Saturday’s GLAAD Media Awards. “Spring is for layers!” he said of the textured, very Karli Kloss-esque style.

So what inspired the new cut? Harper’s Bazaar spoke to Townsend and he revealed that Jennifer Lawrence came in just an hour before call time and wanted to cut it all off. However, she didn’t want a traditional bob but instead requested all the layers: “We went with a full-on shag, with bangs and a lot of face-framing layers. I loosened up the ends by chopping into them with thinning shears. As I cut, I lost track of how many times she said ‘I love it!’ She was super excited. It’s the shortest her hair has been her whole life.”

The honey-blonde colour is also something new. Though she had blonde highlights at the Oscars, since her win Lawrence has been reshooting scenes for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire—which required a return to her all-black Katniss Everdeen hair colour. Read more »

Well, isn’t this interesting. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made their first visit to the city that bears their official title—the first ever for the Duchess, and the first in official capacity for Prince William since being married. Arriving by train from Kings Cross station in London (but maybe not this platform), the couple made several stops. But before they could get to them, the Duke and Duchess were met by throngs of fans who had lined the streets in hopes of meeting them. One fan gave Prince William a “babygro,” which upon googling, we learned was a baby jumpsuit. Awks.

Beginning with a visit to Cambridge University’s Guildhall, the Duke and Duchess were greeted by Lord Sainsbury of Turville, the Chancellor of the University and met with several staff members including her father’s first cousin, Dr. Penny Barton. According the BBC, Prince William made a lovely speech about the city being “a place renowned the world over for its dynamism, beauty and learning” and Dr. Barton responded by saying that Kate had made the family “proud.”

Kate Middleton seems to be getting into the Christmas spirit judging by the outfits we’ve seen her in the past couple of days.

On Monday Kate was seen in Wales at a rugby match in her red LK Bennett coat and yesterday she opted for the other color of Christmas, as she wore a green Mulberry dress at London’s Natural History Museum.

Making a solo appearance as the Guest of Honour at the opening of the museum’s new Treasures Gallery, Kate Middleton stepped out in her green Mulberry Cabbage Peace & Love dress (which she wore last year to a press reception for the Queen at Buckingham Palace) and her black suede Jimmy Choo cosmic pumps.

As Grey Cup mania hit Canada this weekend, Kate Middleton was indulging in a little field-side action herself, watching a rugby game between Wales and New Zealand in Cardiff, Wales alongside Prince William who is patron of the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust. Pre-game, the couple met with former players injured during their careers, who are supported by the trust.

For the outdoor event, the Duchess of Cambridge wore her red LK Bennett Ami coat—the same worn last November on a UNISEF visit to Denmark (to find out more about that cause, visit unicef.org), but this time worn with its original belt. To match the coat, the Duchess wore a previously unseen red Gucci Monogram canvas shoulder bag, black Aquatalia knee high boots and gold leaf drop earrings designed by Catherine Zoraida, which she wore during her recent Jubilee Tour to Southeast Asia.

Lana Del Rey updates her ’60s style with Jane Birkin-esque bangs

Lana Del Rey Bangs

Lana Del Rey has become somewhat of a ’60s hairstyle chameleon. Whether it’s an oversized bouffant, tight curls or brushed-out waves the singer loves to experiment with her style—though always keeping it in the same decade. And now, Lana Dey Rey has added a dark-brown set of bangs to her look.

While promoting her newest album “Born To Die: The Paradise Edition” in London, the singer altered her perfectly coiffed waves with a new set of bangs, giving a Jane Birkin-esque vibe to her hairstyle. At first we thought they were a clip-in set, but the split in the middle proves that they are indeed authentic. (New bangs always annoyingly refuse to adjust their part.) Read more »

The stars came out en masse last night at Elle’s 19th Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration, but there was one celebrity in particular that came out with a bang. Literally.

Emma Stone debuted a new hairstyle at the event, and yes, it includes bangs. We last saw her a few weeks ago during Paris Fashion Week where she was spotted (sans bangs) sitting front row at Miu Miu and looking very Old Hollywood. But last night the actress, who presented at the event with Allison Janney, accentuated her new blonde bangs in a mod-ish pink and white dress from Valentino Resort 2013. Read more »
