Saskatoon: Footwear fix
I haven’t been letting the winter blues get to me, despite the record-breaking temperatures our frosty little city has been receiving. At least not when Fixation (107 23rd St. E., 306-384-7463, fixationshoes.com) has their doors open.
The entrepreneurial Trena Mierau wanted to offer Saskatoon a fresh selection of shoes and so, this past November, she opened Fixation, one of the latest boutiques to join the growing list of hip and stylish stores opening downtown. The shop offers shoes so exquisite and beautiful, it’s like a candy store to any woman’s eye.
Stilettos, pumps, flats, boots and the classic high heels are all available from the likes of True Religion, Not Rated, Naughty Monkey, Bos. and Co., T.U.K., Iron Fist and Anne Michelle (shown, $90). (And this little shoe haven has something for men and children as well.) This retail therapy has been keeping my feet dressed to the nines and warming my soul.
