CRAZY!!!!” during Paris Fashion week, we have been going crazy awaiting the news. Word on the street is that Karl Lagerfeld’s turn at Chanel is coming to an end, and that he will be passing the baton to Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz. Madonna’s new fashion brand status opens up the world of collaboration (and world domination at this point). After signing a deal last week that will enable the material girl’s brand, MG Icon, to have hands in multiple existing brands as well as to start new ones, news comes today of the first partnership between Madonna and Dolce & Gabbana–sunglasses. It’s official: Sarah Jessica Parker has been named president and chief creative officer at Halston. It’s too early to judge, but Parker seems to have her head on straight with the position. She’s not interested in undermining creative director Marios Schwab, and is frank about her newbie status: “There is a huge amount I don’t know and I am very candid about that, and I am excited to learn.” [
